Is there any difficulty installing Win2000 on a machine
with an AMD-K6 processor? Or a Celeron processor? or an
AMD-Athlon processor? Or a Cyrix processor? In all
cases, the CPU speed is more than adequate. I just don't
know if these processors are considered "Pentium
compatible".

They're all OK. Make sure the rest of your hardware is too.

go to the windows 2000 professional website4 and check in
teh HCL lists (Hardware Compatibility Lists). if the
hardare is mentioned there and there will be no problem
for installing windows 2000 professional. this is the link
