Validation Rule

AmtFunded is a field that can't be over $2,500. So I've
entered this as a validation rule =[AmtFunded]<="$2,500.00"
into the AmtFunded field but it doesn't seem to be
working. Anyone know why, and or how to make it work?

In the Validation Rule property, just use:
<=2500
