v1.0.613 keeps prompting "update available" but stays at 613 after install

Every day for the last week I am getting "update
available" prompt and go ahead to install a new version
and reboot only to find the version number is still
1.0.613. I am going to disable auto update utility. Is
there in fact a version 1.0.614 out there that is failing
to install on my machine? (I am getting no alerts apart
from the "successfully installed please reboot" type of
message at the end.)

The best you do is to uninstall your existing build and download 614
manually, then do a clean install. Here is download link for build 614:

.... after uninstalling from Add/Remove Programs advise you to delete the
Program Files\Microsoft AntiSpyware folder, also, prior to the clean
install of the latest refresh version.
