I ran AVG and it said I had a file that was infected with a virus.

I did a search on the web on this virus but could not really find
anything on it. Can someone help me out here?

I ran AVG and it said I had a file that was infected with a virus. "Virus
identified Win32/Induc.A" I did a search on the web on this virus but
could not really find anything on it.

Since naming can be unique to an AV vendor, you have to find out from them
what they define as the criteria or identification for their classification
of a virus.

If they don't define it in their encyclopedia then you'll have to ask them
(it might be too new to be listed).

Otherwise, you could just go search yourself, like using Google, and hope
there was a similar naming scheme used by other AV products.

Let's hope it wasn't an important file.

The best action to take is quarantine rather than delete.

This virus evidently uses indirect infection. If this was your intitial
exposure, then it could be treated the same as a trojan. It's deleted
and you are done with it.

If it's still in you RecycledBin, send it to VirusTotal.com and have it
analyzed.
Usually quarantining it is better until you're sure it isn't a false
positive and a file that you don't want.
