Utility to change monitor brightness?

I was interested to see that the software with my GeForce
card has the ability to brighten the screen much more than the OSD
can. So here's the problem. I have another PC, the monitor is getting
on a bit. The picture is clear, the brightness is at max, but still not
bright enough. It hasn't got software like the GeForce.
So is there any utility that can set the brightness higher?

Two that you may wish to try are:

Gamma Panel

Information:

"Gamma Panel is a little & handy application that lets you adjust
brightness, contrast and gamma settings in real-time. Thanks to its
hot-key feature, you don't even have to leave the game you're playing!
The program works pretty similar to Color profiles in PowerStrip but is
completely free and much smaller in terms of system load and memory usage."

and

QuickGamma

"QuickGamma is a small utility program to calibrate a monitor on the fly
without having to buy expensive hardware tools."

Many thanks, Wayne! Gamma Panel is exactly
what I needed.
