util to convert MOV to anything WITHOUT having Quicktime installed?

Is there a util that can convert MOV files to AVI or MPG or anything,
that DOESN'T require me to have Quicktime installed?
(If I had quicktime installed I wouldn't need to convert, duh)

You can do this using Quicktime Alternative - this will install the
quicktime codecs to your computer but not the Quicktime player. It's
available from many places - I usually get it from links on betanews.com

Try a Google search for "mov2avi download", a 296K executable.

The resultant AVI will be WAY bigger [4meg goes to 21 meg] in file size
than the original MOV file. If much use is anticipated, QT Alternative
may be a better way to go.
