Usuing a copied xp cd to troubleshoot with

IF Ihave an original copy of XP, but I dont want to use it to troubleshoot
with, could I use a copied copy to take the wear and tear of been used in
clients pc's?
 
What do you mean? I don't know what you mean by "troubleshoot" with.
