Usual Question ... Which graphics card would you buy?

Hi,

I know you're asked this question a number of times, but this is only
because you are the best people to ask ... (enough of the brown nosing
....)

i have a computer with an AGP x8 slot and want to buy a decent
graphics card to play half life/recent games with. My budget is £150
max and after doing a bit of research i have narrowed my option down
to a Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro 128Mb 256bit graphics card at £140.

What do you think about this selection? Have i missed another better
card for this price? What would you recommend from your own
experiences ...

Any kind of help will be greatly appreciated.

specs:
Intel D856Perl Motherboard
Tagan 480w power supply
Intel P4 2.8Ghz 800Mhz
2 x 512Mb Corsair XMS3200C2 Matched Pair
Maxtor 80Gb HDD SATA
NEC DVD

Also consider AGP version of Nvidia 6600GT. It's faster than the Radeon 9800
pro. If you wait a month of so the x700 AGP cards should be available.
Faster than the 9800 PRO and offers similar speeds to the Nvidia Card.

Thats a decent card at a decent price. Can't complain. May i ask where from?

I agree. I was looking at the same one myself.
If you're planning on overclocking, you can get a cooler for under a
tenner from eBuyer. It'll take up your next PCI slot
