I want to use USMT to migrate our remote laptop users from Win2k to XP SP2.
The users all of Domain accounts, but log in using cached credentials and
then VPN into our network. The problem I am having is that when I tested
USMT it was on a machine that was connected to our network and it ran fine.
I then tested without a network connection and receive error 2453 "Failed to
get a serer in the <our domain> domain." When I do the data migration, I
will be at a hotel and do not want to have each laptop connected via VPN. I
am not migrating anything from a network share and am using the /localonly
switch when I execite scanstate.
Any suggestions on how to stop scanstate from tring to contact the domain?
Thanks,
Stephen
