Can USMT be used on the same computer in a test environment? What I'm doing
is adding some desktop shortcuts, txt files, folders etc. and then using
scanstate to create the img. Then I have deleted the newly created files,
shortcuts, folders, etc and then running loadstate. The files I deleted
(after running scanstate) are not being restored. Don't get me wrong, I'm not
trying to use this as a restore tool, just wanted to see how it works. Do I
need to use two differenct PC's for this? Is that the problem?
Here are they command-lines used: (used in a batch file)
scanstate:
c:\usmt\bin\scanstate c:\ /i:migapp.inf /i:migsys.inf i:/miguser.inf
/i:sysfiles.inf /o /localonly /v:1
loadstate:
c:\usmt\bin\loadstate c:\ /v:1
