Using XP how do I set up a macro with a button on the Toolbar?

I can record a macro and save it to the toolbar in Word but it saves as text.
I would like to display the macro as a button (symbol) How do I do this ?
 
When you go into the Tools>Customize dialog box, right-click the button and
choose Change Button Image. Pick the Icon you want to use, then open the menu
again & choose either Text Only (in Menus) or Default Style.
