HI. I am working with a secure Access database. I want to use Word Mail Merge to create a form letter that connects to this secure Access database. When I try to connect to the database using the Word Mail Merge Wizzard, I get a login box but it does not recognize my login information and will not connect to the database.
I spoke with the creator of the database and he said it is a secure database belonging to a group (he gave me the id and password) which will give me read only access which is what I want. But he says this security information is set in a custom security file called medsys.mdw and that Word may be using the default security file system.mdw. And he does not know how to get around that issue.
Is it possible to access a secure Access database using the Word Mail Merge and if yes then how?
