using two monitors

I just bought a new 20" Sony monitor to replace my 17" one. I'd like to
set up my system to use both monitors but have no idea how to do this.

Using Win XP Pro, 1256 gb ram, ATI Radeon 9250 PCI graphics card with
256 mb DDR that supports dual display. Any help would be great!

Plug them both into your video card, assuming you've got 2 vga or dvi
outputs, otherwise you'll need a 2nd video card.
After that's done, simply go to your desktop properties, settings tab,
click the monitor box with the "2" in it and check the box "extend my
Windows desktop onto this monitor." Adjust the resolution as
necesary.

You may need a second graphics card or there may be a second jack on the
existing graphics card. OR, you could use a serial port on the computer.
The next thing is to go into the Control Panel, Display and input the
settings.

I have a 9250. One monitor is DVI connected to the dvi connection on the
card, the other monitor is analog (vga) connected to the 15 pin connector on
the same card. Works great.
