Using the "Standby" feature

When I attempt to put my computer into Standby, I get a
message that my Robitics modem is causing a problem that
won't allow me to go into Standby. I have disabled my
modem (I use hi-speed cable), but that has not allowed me
to use Standby.

Any ideas or solutions?

You most likely have a Software Based modem that is still loading the
drivers for the modem (*.SYS) even though you have disabled the device.
This driver that is not shutting down correctly is the most likely cause.
Make sure that you uninstall all of the modem software from Add/Remove
programs as well as uninstall the device.
