I am using Works 8.5 on a Vista os. I can't use the send(e-mail) from any of
my apps. Windows mail is my default program. Works data base says I am
missing MAPI32.dll. Works WP just refuses to do anything when I click on the
send icon. What is my problem?

Kay, I wasn't sure just what and how to add the mapi32.dll in my new Vista
OS. It is working so well otherwise, I didn't want to mess anything else up.
I can work around it, by using an attachment for e-mail. Its just
frustrating to have to do the extra step.

oops for the last post. Anybody know how to fix MAPI32.dll?

My daughter and I both had the same problem on two separate new computers. She called Microsoft support, and they walked her through adding the necessary lines to the registry. She then called me to share the directions. I can't find the code, but I'm sure MS would provide you the same information.

Thanks Rufus. I will try calling the manufacturer of my computer first. Its
only a couple of months old, so is still under warranty. Vista was preloaded
and I haven't had any other concerns but this one. If you find the info,
please post it.

Rufus,

I can't seem to find anybody that can help with this issue. Are both you
and your daughter using Works 8.5 and Vista windows mail? Just checking to
make sure we are talking about the same programs
