Using Sysprep - Multiple Applications

I am new to creating images etc but have 40 computers to roll out. All
machines have XP-Pro purchased with the system so all serial numbers are
different. All will have Office 2003 Pro of which we have licenses for one
code. All will have multiple applications - We are talking about 30
different ones for use in a school environment.

I would like to create one image and roll it out to all the others. Are
there are tutorials or step by step instructions that any of you have
written out that you might be willing to share?
