Using Sympatico email remotely

I have recently changed from a local ISP to Sympatico, and now apparently
cannot access my email remotely through my workplace workstation. My company
blocks Hotmail, and it appears from the URL when I click on Sympatico from
www.msn.ca that the link tries to open Hotmail instead of going directly to
Sympatico. Is there any way to access my Sympatico email remotely without
going through Hotmail?

Not related to Outlook at all. Check with Sympatico. However, the fact that
your IT staff is blocking Hotmail tells me they don't want you accessing
non-business email on their network - and this is generally a very good idea
for security/virus reasons. Play by their rules - it's not your network.

Lanwench,

Fair enough. Is there another method of communicating with external contacts
not through email that would be acceptable to my company--i.e., that would
not jeopardize their network with unintentional viruses, etc. that may come
through email? What about MSN Messenger? Would this likely be blocked as
well?
