Using Subtotaled Data

I have many rows of daily data by employee. For example, at the minimum,
there will be 2 rows of data per employee by day for over 5000 employees. I
have sorted by employee by day and then executed subtotals by employee and by
day.

My question:
I would like to transfer just the employee's daily total to a new sheet.
When I collapse the view from the subtotals and copy, it brings all the data
(even the hidden) with it. Is there a way to just keep the data I need from
the subtotal function?

Collapse the data to the subtotals

Use F5 (Go To) | Special... | select Visible cells only
Ctrl-c (Copy)
Choose another sheet
Ctrl-v (Paste)

If you are going to do this frequently, and it sounds like you are, you can
add an icon to the toolbar to select just the visible cells.

Right click on the toolbar, select Customize from the popup menu, then click
on the Commands tab.

In the left panel select "Edit"
In the right panel scroll down until yu see the text "Select Visible Cells"
Drag that icon up and drop it ON A TOOLBAR - NOT ON AN EMPTY AREA
Close the dialog
