I'm not aware of any serial port connected CH joysticks, only gameport
ones. Maybe if you can find a "gameport - USB" adapter it will do what
you want.

Does your USB to serial adapter come with drivers?

Well, Paul , no dirvers,, just the Belkin cable. Checked all over Belkin
site, no help at all.

It seems to me that this should work. I have divers for the joystick, CH
flight Stick and can load them. XP loads the drivers but since I have no
serial port, I tired using the Belkin USB to serial adapter cable. when I
plug it all in, get no notice that I have connected it.

Maybe I am just nuts, but it seems to me that this should work. and yes, the
joystick is good, can put it on my 98SE older laptop and it works fine.

Thanks for any help you may have. I am open for suggestions.

Adapters rarely work as advertised. Well, try removing the joystick
drivers. THen reinstall them with everything connected. If that doesn't
work you may have to spring for a USB joystick.

find just the right joystick. Durn it, most of the ones I see are WAAAAY more
stick than I want. Will keep digging.

Thanks to you and all who tried to help.
