Hi,

Does anyone here know how to connect automatically to the Internet, using
Scheduled Tasks?
I have an ADSL modem / broadband connection, and I'd like my computer to
connect to the Internet (i.e. dial automatically to my broadband ISP) without
my intervention, at a specific time at night - while I am asleep.
Right now, I am manually connecting to my ISP, every night, at 1 a.m.
(my local ISP offers 'Happy Hours' between 1 a.m. and 8 a.m.)
Thanks.

I do not know how to invoke a LAN connection at a specific time, but
if you have Windows set up to connect to the Internet automatically,
you could simply start an application or an URL at 1am which will then
create the connection.
