Using same Outlook Calendar on two computers

I have a desktop using Outlook 2003. I just acquired a tablet and I want to
use the same Outlook Calendar on both. In other words I want to be able to
make changes on either computer and easily update the other computer. I have
had a terrible time importing the calendar. All my recurring events showed
up on import as timed appointments that took up two days. ie- a recurring
daily event on the desktop showed up on the laptop as a one plus day
appointment shown taking up two days on the calendar. I am scheduling 7
doctors on this calendar and with everything showing up double that is a huge
mess. If I edit the series on one and simply open recurrence without
changing anything then save and close the item reverts to a single day event.
I am really confused or not that smart. I think I should easily be able to
share the calendars but I can't seem to come up with any answers. Some help
with some helpful and specific detail would be great. Thanks for reading
this wordy problem and thanks for your help.

OK Vince, The Froelich reply looks doable, I am assuming this can be done
with a CD burner as well as a zip drive. He loses me on creating a directory
for the Outlook files. Where and how can I do this with my contacts and
calendar? I am not interested in by mailbox. Do I then set up the directory
the same on my laptop and where do I find the directories on my laptop to
erase. Is there a size limit on My Briefcase in XP. Thanks for the quick
reply and future help. Why hasn't Microsoft come up with a synchronizing
utility? Is there shareware or freeware that would synchronize this easier?

Just create a folder for the PST file (it contains your contacts & calendar
amongst other data). Not sure about the size of the Briefcase since I
haven't used it in years.

Hello,

We're trying to share a calendar that is on Outlook 2000 with other
users using Outlook 2003. Is that possible across versions?

We go to FILE --> SHARE --> CALENDAR and then the Outlook 2000 computer
sends out an invitation to the 2003 machines. But when they get the
invitation, it tells them that they need to install Net Folders.
However, there does not seem to be any "Net Folders" feature to install
on 2003.

The one other user who also has Outlook 2000 is able to share the
calendar. They both have Outlook 2000 SP-3 9.0.0.6627.

Another quirk is that all of the entries on the calendar have suddenly
triplicated themselves. In other words, there are suddenly 3 entries
of the same event on each day.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

- Marc

If you are on an exchange server you should be able to. If not and you are
use Net Folders then it will only work when both parties are using outlook
2000
