using outlook with comcast

We have comcast and would like to be using outlook 2000. I have been on the
phone with comcast and they said it is a microsoft issue??? I keep getting
error messages(0x800ccc0f)-TCP/IP Connection was unexpectedly terminated,
(0x800ccc92)-Problem with logon into your mail server, User name/Password was
rejected. And to top it off when connecting to outlook my logon for user and
password pops up and when i enter it and hit ok-the email tries to connect
and 5 secs later is interrupted by the logon poping up again. I cant keep the
logon window from coming up to even try to receive or send mail??? Any help
would be great!

Disable e-mail scanning in your anti-virus program.

If the problem is remembering the login password then visit
Microsoft's huge support knowledgebase. Used the advanced search to
select a product, enter your search criteria, and read the most
relevant articles to your problem. For example:

I have comcast too. I set up the email to use LAN. That was it.
