I upgrade from Outlook 2000 to 2003 and set my pop3 email account with
comcast.net. I followed Comcast's directions to set up the account and I did
the test account. Everything goes well EXCEPT login into
pop3 account. I receceive : code error (0x800CC02) : “Your email server
rejected your log in. Verify your user name and password in your account
properties. I verifye dthte accoun properties and the seam thing happend.
I contacted Comcast and tehir answer was: You need to contact Microsoft with
your problem. Can any one help?

First setup an e-mail account in Outlook Express. If that doesn't work,
call Comcast. They will support Outlook Express. Obviously no one is going
to support every e-mail program that exists. They will support a simple one
that is used by most customers, and that is OE.

If, however, the account works in OE then the problem is with Outlook or
some software you have running on your host, like anti-virus scanning of
e-mail or your firewall's application rules.
