Using Outlook 2003 with Office 2002 Prof.

Does anyone have any experience upgradging to Exchange 2003 (with cache mode)
and only upgrading the client to Outlook 2003 and keeping Office 2002?
We are considering buiding a global messaging environment for about 20000
users and would like to avoid the office upgrade - only making a change on
the PC to the Outlook version. Using email across the WAN will be key and I
want to make sure we don't pay a penalty in performance or functionality by
keeping the legacy office tool version.

Thanks for any information that may be available.

Yes. The drawback is that you will no longer have any integration between
Outlook and the rest of Office. No using Word as the mail editor and no
mail merges.

Len,
See my question posted on 10/31 with the subject "Outlook 03 with Office XP
issue"
So far this is all we have run into although we are only dealing with a very
small company (30 users).

Sounds like an upgrade may be required. Good Luck!
