Using Outlook 2003 to connect to Exchange 2000 via VPN

I recently upgraded our Office Product to the 2003 version. Now, when our
employees go on the road, they cannot connect to the Exchange Server through
the preconfigured VPN, using Outlook 2003. Everything worked with the
previous XP version of Office, so I know that something is amiss in the new
installation of Office.

Any suggestions? Thanks. J.R.

I wish I had something useful to add other than myself and several of my
colleagues connect (attempt to connect) to our companies exchange server via
a VPN and outlook 2003. Our network admin says that he can not find the
problem and insists when we get new hardware (January) that will resolve the
issue.?. I'm just interested in any response you may get.

Hello Jason and J.R.

A frind of mine had me add the IP address and Web Site of the service ou are
connecting to to the hosts file. It work for me but not for some of my
colleagues.

File location is c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc The file name is hosts, at
the bottom of the file you can add the IP of the VPN.
