Using Office 2003 text box function creates a line below the box

HELP w/ Office 2003 Word: I'm creating a text box and this program creates a
drawing area that you have to draw the box inside of. Meanwhile, I figured
that out, but as you close the text box, there is a big, bold, black line
drawn in below the text box.

How do you delete that line?

Best to switch off the Drawing Canvas. Tools | Options | General Tab and then
remove the tick to Automatically create drawing canvas when inserting
autoshapes. Hope this helps.
