I am trying to implement norton ghost 2003 on a windows xp workstation. In
the current configuration of norton ghost, I can get the network card
recognized and I can get the program to startup using the ibm dos operating
system, as a requirement of norton ghost 2003. What I need to figure out
next is what steps are required to get norton ghost 2003 to connect to the
windows 2000 server and the shared hard drives on that windows 2000 server so
I can store the image of the c drive on that windows 2000 server. I have
found the dos client disks for actvie directory but I am not sure where to
add them in the norton ghost setup. Can someone here give me a little advice
as to what to do next. By the way, I have the windows xp client able to
connect to the windows 2000 workstaiton and it can see the shared resources
around the network.

I suggest upgrading to Norton Ghost 9 (part of the NSW 2005 suite) - the
requirement to reboot to an old DOS OS (PC-DOS or MS-DOS) has been
eliminated, as the new version caches a virtual copy of the drive when it
starts - then using the normal network connections, you instruct it to say
the image on a network drive.
