Using 'nodrives' reg entry

I have used the 'nodrives' reg entry on NT very
successfully, however, the knowledge base says that it
only works on NT and Win 2k. Anyone used it in XP or come
across an equivalent?

I would be very surprised if this one didn't work for WinXP as well. The
"applies to" list in KB articles is not always updated, and you should not
interpret it as "only".
