I get an error that sounds similar to yours. I have that my W32time is not
synchronized. No matter how many times I do it a couple days later if I come
back and check it it's not synchronized again. I've never seen it before,
maybe was just never paying attention. It's just a home computer so I don't
look for errors unless something is going wrong, I'm updating, cleaning
something, ect.
Anyway I found out that W32time isn't very accurate. It is off by 2 to 4
seconds. Which doesn't sound like a whole lot but over time it adds up and
can equal up to hours. I was trying to find a way to fix it and got rather
upset when I was told to use some other types of clocks and all of these
clocks wanted me to pay annual fees for using them. I was like wait a
minute, I paid for my stupid Windows program, I paid for my computer, now you
want me to pay to have an accurate clock? I was looking over the information
because I was trying to figure this out. I figured every clock at my house
has got to be off by one minute or so. How does this get to be hours? Then
the site started showing how these clocks add time and roll time and one time
it might move at this speed and once at this speed.
Apparently these clocks are better than the older Windows clocks but still
not very accurate. I got very upset though to think I was going to pay a $20
annual fee for a stupid clock because the one in the corner of my screen was
going to be off and running all over the place! Supposedly the next versions
of Windows are supposed to have this solved. I guess we shall see but I
highly doubt they will allow us that don't update to download the fix!
