Using Hibernate

When using the Windows Classic Start Menu, if I click the Orb and select
shutdown, I get the following options:

Switch User
Log Off
Restart
Sleep
Shutdown

What I don't get is a Hibernate option. Is there a way that this can be
included?

(I have have found that I can set the front panel power button to trigger a
Hibernate in the Power Options settings.)

In power Settings under 'Sleep' set 'Allow hybride sleep' to 'off' and
the Hibernate option should appear again.

Well thank you for telling me that, which I did not know. Yes that does do
as you say, but I then loose the hybrid sleep which gives me protection
against the all to frequent power cuts were I live.

Ideally I would like both hybrid sleep (which starts quickly and protects
against power supply interruption) and hibernate (which runs the post and my
Booitng menu).

I also have started to wonder how much power my PC uses:

a) When shutdown but still connected to the power supply
b) When 'sleeping'
