Using GP to control Automatic Updates

Is it possible to configure a GPO to assign how you want Windows Automatic
Updates to function on W2k and XP machines? Or, is it something that must
be done at each machine locally?

lookup about SUS you can role it through GP , its a service that update your
clients at your control,without doing it local,
