Using Gmail in Outlook 2003

I have set up my Outlook 2003 to recevie my emails from Gmail Account. I
have followed the Gmail instructions exactly and have had no problems until
the other day. It now won't send or receive emails. There is no problem
with my connection or my account as I can access my Gmail account on the web.
In fact I have double checked the account in outlook and ran a test account
settings and it has worked fine. I am at a complete loss. Has anybody any
ideas?

Exactly what happens when you try?

Nothing really happens - it tries to send outstanding messages and jams -
it's as if the messages are too big, but they don't even have any
attachments.

Define "jams".

What I mean by jams is that it gets stuck on trying to send the first message
and when I show the progress of the send and receive it says it is completing
task 1 of 1 but that is as far as it gets

So, you're saying the message never leaves the Outbox, correct? Enable
diagnostic logging and see what's happening.
