Using form entry fields to email a friend

I have a form that is used to enter info to send a link to my web site to a
friend. Of course, I write this info into a file. However, right now I get
an email each time someone uses the form and must then send the link myself.

I would like to use the email of the friend to automatically send a standard
message to that address when they click on submit on the form. I know how to
enter an actual email address to be notified when submit is clicked, but is
there a way to enter the variable name for that field on the for so the email
can be sent immediately to the friend?
