Using email to collect yes\no data.

I would like to use the Email Data Collection feature in Access 2007 to have
users update a Yes\No field in a table. Is this possible? The help file
states that multi-valued fields can't be updated in this way. That seems
rather limiting. Is there perhaps a workaround?

I yes no field is not typically refer to as a multi value field.

multi value fields are part of a new extension to the jet or so called ACE
database engine that allows it to use lists from share point. I suspect in
this case that you're actually confusing the term multi-value fields with a
field that can have "different" values. A yes/no field is NOT a multi-value
field in a technical sense as referred to by that limitation.

so a standard field yes no, or normal field in which you can have different
values, is not in the technical term multi valued.

If you are in fact using a true multi value field, then you simply would
change it to a standard plan jane yes/no ms access field, and then send out
the e-mail that way.

The restriction they are talking about has absolutely no relationship to a
"yes no" field, or even a combo box field. They're talking about the new
"data type" that we have in ms-access that allows multi-values....

Thank you for that clarification. So if I am able to gather yes/no
information using the email data collection feature in Access 2007 is there a
way to have that field display as a checkbox in the email body? My initial
attempts at testing this resulted in just a blank box in the message body.
Thanks!
