I have an old dos program that is still one most useful, but I need to
get a new computer. Will I be able to use this dos program with
Windows XP

thanks

In my experience, it would be a maybe (if it's a game probably not). I'm
sure if you told the group what the program is someone will have a solid
answer for you.

(-: FireFox :-)

Some DOS programs work fine under XP, others don't work at all.
Nobody can answer your question if you don't tell us what program
you're concerned with.

Just install it and use the win95 compatibility mode to see.

Even the compatability modes wont make it work if the program tries to
directly access hardware.

I may be wrong but I don't think compatibility mode has any effect on DOS
programs.
