Has anyone else noticed that when using CC with Firefox, webpages can
then fail to display any styling ?
For instance, run CC then the BBC site will be unstyled, as will CNN.
Blogs will load but not images. Very odd. Problem fixes itself once I
force reloads with ctrl-f5 a couple of times, then data is loaded just fine.
Or is it just me ? :)

No, it is not just you :-)
You just put a label on a phenomenon I also observed.
(And I must admit: I didn't have a clue as to what caused it :-)

There are lots of items you can tick\untick to suit your cleaning
requirements in CC.
The choice is yours. It still does an excellent job doesn`t it ?.
best wishes..OJ

It does a superb job and I wouldn't be without it - this was more a
'curiosity post' :)

I have noticed this but thought it was just my installation.
Ebay also does this. A quick reinstall or restart of JRE2
(java) corrects the problem. It appears that FF relies on
that for proper display. I have no idea which option to
change in CC to avoid this. Could there be another problem?

Well, I just corrected the problem w/FF in my machine. I
unchecked the Sun JAVA option under applications in CC.

Just tried that - and the BBC went back to being unstyled again. Odd ...

FireFox does not rely on Java for display. It uses the Gecko engine.

Thanks for the input. I am not that familiar with the inner
workings of FF. That seemd to correct the problem at the
time. After shutting down last night, FF again has text
display in some sights. I can open the sites with Netscape
and they display fine. I suppose I will need to do some
more experimenting unless someone has the answer.

Thanks
Lugnut
