Using colors in categories

I have outlook 2000 and want to set my categories with
colors so I can see at a glance which category I'm working
with. I can't seem to do it -- especially on calendars.
Any hints? Thanks.
 
I am almost 100% certain that colours in calendar is not
an option in 2000 only 2002 and 2003.

colors are only available if you use a table view and apply automatic
formatting.
