Using caps in a combo box

I have a database that was converted from '97 to XP. Since this conversion I
have a strange thing happening in my combo boxes. For instance, one of these
boxes is designed to find member records in our database. If i type a
members' name in lower case it will start to "auto fill" the combo box with
available names from my table. If I have my caps lock on, it will only try to
auto fill the first couple of characters and then it will just start
inserting the characters I type. Example: I am trying to find a member with
the name Smith, Allen. As I type in S it fills the box with an available S
name like Sam, Henry. Then I type the letter M and it fills the box with the
next available name like Smalls, Luke.(this letter even though I typed in
Caps, appears as lower case in the combo box) Then when I type the third
character it starts to insert the characters between the currently filled
name. Something like this: SmITHalls, Luke. Noting the ITH inserted between
the name smalls. Any ideas in this? The Caps lock in the 97 version filled
the combo box with no problems. Seems like it is being case sensitive in the
newer vesion.
