using bitmap animations in email

I have saved some bitmap animations off the web--when I insert them into
email in Outlook they don't work. How can the bitmap files be converted to
gif files? Or is there some other way to get them to work in Outlook? We
have Windows XP and office 2003. My Outlook is set to HTML mail format.

They need to be saved as gif's not bitmaps when downloading.
You'll also have to use HTML for them to animate.
If your looking to create animations I would suggest Jasc Animation shop for
a beginner. It's really easy to use.
