Using Access for images

N

novus

I have tried to use Access to display images as described at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;318813&Product=fp2002

The process as described seems to apply for a page in the top level of the
web only. I would like to call up Access from pages at different levels in
my directory structure.

I find that if I add the standard ../../image/ to the image file names
in the database, they seem to be stripped and Access ciontinues to look in
the current directory/images. Do I have to use absolute filenmaes for images
if I want to serve them from anywhere but the topevel of my web?

Yes, you would have to a absolute URL in the database or you have create the links in your page as:

.../../images/<%=recordset("imagefile")%>

for each level
