Users outside the office cannot use Outlook Client to acces mail

I have quite a few users that user Microsoft Outlook to
access mail on our server from their home.

I make a host entry with the Serve name and approriate IP
address in the Host file.

Under the Microsoft exchange I put in the Server Name and
the user name and select Check Name. This has always
worked and I have had no problems until this week. Now no
user outside the office can use OUtlook. It never
connects, even if I put in the IP address directly. The
users can still use Web Outlook but I need to find out
what happened to Outlook Client and why it does not work

Probably lots of port filtering going on now due to Blaster worm. I think
that ports in the 135-139 range have been filtered at a lot of sites.
