Users have lost access

Have W2K server running AD with W98 workstations.
Workstation usernames & passwords are verified by W2K
server @ logon. However, all users except administrator
have lost all folder access rights except 'read'. I have
checked the users rights per folder/drive and have reset
permissions allowing rights to be inherited from parent
folders. On viewing rights per folder all seems OK! When
a logged-on user with 'write' privileges to a particular
folder tries to write to that folder, a window pops up
with Access denied displayed.

I have even created a new group with FULL access to a
folder and added users to this group, but I still get
access denied message.

I certainly would appreciate any help/suggestions on this
matter.
Thanks in advance!

Is this behavior occuring for all users, and also from all machines? Or
does this occur only when accesing the shares from a Windows 9x machine?

Are you using the Directory Services Client for Windows 98/Me?
