Users desktop

I just installed XP Home, and when I set up user accounts
for my husband, daughter and myself (myself as the
administrator) I found that all the icons that are on my
desktop are on theirs as well. I tried deleting them, it
deleted them from mine as well. I tried going into the
sharing tab, but the "make this folder private" box didn't
highlight so I couldn't check it. Help!!!!

You need to remove them from the all users folder under documents and
settings. Then place the icons for each user under their folders.
