Users and Settings "default" directory

Mike

I recently upgraded from Win ME to XP. I find that all
the stuff in my old "My Documents" (e.g. My Pictures) has
been placed in a directory called "default" under the
Users and Settings folder. All the other new user account
I have created on my system have their own named directory
e.g. "Joe Blogg's Documents" rather than my "default".

I want a consistent setup, so that I have my own directory
name with everything in there. I did try just create a
folder and copy everything into it, but then when you go
to My Computer, my directory doesn't show up at the top
alongside the others' --- it doesn't seem to have
recognised my new folder as a genuine user documents
folder or something?

Another thing is that I can't actually delete
the "default" folder -- it says it's a system folder.
What exactly is it needed for? There is a separate,
hidden, folder "Default User" -- and I understand the
purpose of that one. But the "default" folder -- I
could't find anything about it on the MS site. Do I need
the "default" folder?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Mike
