Can anyone tell me where IE 6 stores usernames/passwords for website access.
I've looked in the cookies directory and the registry but could not find
anything.

Hi,
Website login information is stored in the registry- it's encrypted. What
are you trying to do?

Hi back. Thanks for your response. I have three accounts for a website but
IE6 only remembers the password for the first account. I have to manually
enter the password for the other two. I'm trying to find out why.

Hi,
If you want to see what login data is being stored Protected Storage
PassView http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/pspv.html will display that data and
allow you to delete individual username/password combos.

I'd try selecting each username from the autocomplete dropdown list (just
put the pointer on it) and hitting the Delete key. That may allow you to get
a fresh start with that site.

Next I'd try clearing all stored passwords from Internet Options> Content>
Autocomplete. See if that resets things for that site.
