Usernames and Passwords

I don't want to use the security wizard for user access. I'm aware of
another method where usernames and passwords are stored in a table and users
are granted access that way. How does one go about setting that up? Is there
a way to setup different levels of access using this method?

Yes, but in the time you'd take to develop what will almost certainly be a
solution that is inferior to the built-in security, you could learn about
and implement user-level security. Also I would never consider developing a
"roll your own" solution because of the administrative headache it would no
doubt become. Why do you see a home made solution being better or easier
than the built-in one?

It was just a thought because I've seen it before and the Access security is
a real PITA. I'm checking out the article on your site called HOW TO SECURE
AN MS ACCESS DATABASE - A97. Does it still apply for A03?

Yes, it's the same, but don't use my article as your only reference, wade
through that FAQ in slow time! I sympathise with your PITA comment, but
once the security penny drops you'll see that it's worth the effort. Good
