Windows mail is not working with my yahoo email account after 8 months of no
issues. Repeatedly asks for username and password - which I correctly type.
I have removed my Norton antivirus, deleted and re-setup my email account
without any luck. The error message is:

Account: 'FOUREMCO', Server: 'pop.bizmail.yahoo.com', Protocol: POP3,
Server Response: '-ERR not a bizmail user.', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No,
Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC91

PLEASE HELP

Did you run this cleanup tool?

<http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039>

You might also have to remove your email account under Windows
Mail one more time and then create it again, to finish the cleanup.

What type of Yahoo account do you have? This applies to some
types of Yahoo accounts, but not all of them.

Are you entering your username with no CAPITAL LETTERS? Have
you tried it both followed and not followed by the part of your email
address starting with @? Are you making sure your password is
entered with CAPITAL and lowercase letters in the correct places?
Some email providers check such things, and some don't.

I am having the same problem. This morning I could send and receive windows
mail , two hours later I also had the same error message popping up.
Username/password. I have tried everything suggested but still getting error
message. It seems a big problem for many people , why can't windows mail get
it sorted, we can't all be using the wrong passwords !!!!

Some email servers insist that you enter your username with no CAPITAL
LETTERS. Some insist that you follow it with the part of your email address
starting with @, and some insist that you don't. Many insist that you make
sure you use CAPITAL and lowercase letters in the correct places in your
password. A few refuse to accept passwords containing some
non-alphanumerical characters that are accepted in password for logging
into webmail.

Also, Windows Mail has a quirk that often makes it forget your saved
password if you click on Apply just after adding the check mark before
Remember password.

Your error message is likely to be a little different. Click on it and copy
it
to your next message.

The error message is...........

Account: 'pop.ntlworld.com', Server: 'pop.ntlworld.com', Protocol: POP3,
Server Response: '-ERR invalid user name or password.', Port: 110,
Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

My password /username is correct, but it won't accept it.I have also checked
them in the user account section.

I am unable to load attachments to my Windows mail. When I find the file or
folder I want and right click to send to mail, The messang says Microsolft
exchange is unavailable. I currently send and receive e mail. My server is
time warner Road Runner POP Server @ KC.rr.com. I know it must be very
simple. I NEED HELP!!!

1. Is your email account in windows Mail working properly? The server name
you mention ("POP Server @ KC.rr.com") is incorrect. It probably should be
"pop-server.kc.rr.com"
http://www.asksomeone.net/rrservers/kansas.html

2. How are you finding the files to send? Try starting a new email message
in Windows Mail, and click on the Attachment button (paperclip), then
navigating to your file.

Or are you using Windows Explorer to navigate to the file, and
right-clicking on it, and selecting "Send To - Mail Recipient"? This opens
the default email program. If Windows Mail doesn't open, and you want it
to, you need to set it as the default . Click on "Start" - "Default
Programs" - "Set your default programs".
Click on "Windows Mail" on the left, and then click on "Set this program as
default"
OK/Save your way out.

Same problem; Suddenly have to LOG IN and no name or password works! Error
0x800CCC90 followed bt error 0x800CCC91 (or 92). Joined Comcast in July, but
preferred Windows Mail (default) since I was familliar with Outlook Express
in XP. New Dell laptop came with VISTA, chose automatic log-in for Windows
Mail, and now it doesn't allow me online the last 2 days. And all my folders
are in Windows Mail so I don't want to give it up! It's still the simplest
system to work with , if I an only get in! Password was the same as in
Comcast webmail, but is not working. My Antivirus program is AVG. Don't know
how to reset WM ID and Password without losing Comcast as well! HELP

Do you get any error message? If so, right-click on the error message,
copy, then paste it into a reply here.
Also, which antivirus are you using?

Gary,
Could you please help me with an issue as I just want to get this program
set up and move on with life.
Tried setting up Mail for the first time and either the LOGON User name or
Password is invalid. How can I change or fix the problem.
I really appreciate any help.
