I have a Win2K domain controller (also is the DNS and DHCP server for the
network) that takes over half an hour to finish booting. The only thing
that shows up in the event logs for most of this time is a series of three
identical userenv events, 6 min 32 seconds apart:
Event ID: 1000
Source: Userenv
"Windows cannot obtain the domain controller name for your computer network.
Return value (2102)"
I can't find anything anywhere that might tell me what this return code
means. You'd think MS might have a list of return codes and meanings
available... but no, apparently not.
Any clues?
Thanks
