When trying to setup a desktop for a specific user in XP,
which is part of an NT domain, the user settings, i.e.
network connections and desktop icons will not be saved.
They are lost when the user logs off. I tried giving the
user admin rights and setting the policy editor on the
server to allow everything I could think of but still
have not had any luck saving the settings.
 
Is their a system policy in affect. If the administrator
has a network wide system policy in place so that
everyone gets the same desktop etc then any
customizations will be lost whenever the user logs off
and back on.
