hi all,

i have a question about the user right in windows 2000

FolderA with the following Permissions,
1)Traverse Folder/ Execute File
2)Read Attributes
3) Read Extended Attributes
4) Create File/ Write Data
5) Create Folders / Append Data
6) Read Permissions

i can copy and paste a file to this folder, and i cannot delete and modify
any files in ths folder. it is worked !

but...............
when i open the ms office 2000 and save a document to this folder, it will
show me " file cannot be saved in folderA\filename.doc ... folder for read
only" something like that, but it still can save the file and the file size
is zero.

i want to set the permissions of this folder to :
can save one time, can read, can execute, can create folder, but i don't
want to let user to modify and delete any file in this folder with ms office
2000.

how can i fixed this problem ?

thanks !

Office applications work with temporary files, which are deleted as part of the save process.
If you save in another folder and move the file, it should work.
